Pet Sitting is pet care that takes place in your home. We visit your house and care for your animals in your absence. In most cases, it is the better alternative to boarding your pet in a kennel. WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF HIRING A PET SITTER?
By using a professional pet sitter, your pet remains in their own comfortable environment. Your pet will maintain his/her normal routine, familiar surroundings, and diet. This allows them to remain stress free in your absence. As an added benefit to your pet, they will not be in a kennel or a cage exposed to communicable diseases like kennel cough nor will they (or your car) have to endure that grueling and stressful ride to the boarding facility. While the pet sitter is caring for your home, it maintains that "lived-in" look deterring any would be intruders or criminals.
WHAT SERVICES CAN I EXPECT FROM A PET SITTER?
A good pet sitter will walk, exercise, feed, and play with your pets. If medication is needed an experienced pet sitter will be comfortable administering any medications. They should scoop litter boxes, clean feces from the yard, water plants as needed, and put the trash and recyclables out on trash day free of charge. In an effort to maintain the security of your home they should also be bringing in the mail, papers, and packages, alternating lights and curtains.
